Quick-Start

Get your CineMotion Posters player up and running. This guide covers what you need and the steps to complete setup.

What's Needed Before You Begin

  • (1) HDMI 2.0 cable
  • (1) Ethernet patch cable
  • A vertically / portrait mounted TV or display with an available HDMI input
  • A wired Ethernet connection (recommended) or Wi-Fi SSID / name and password
  • A computer, smartphone, or tablet connected to the same network
  • A standard 110V AC power outlet (15-Amp)

Quick Setup Overview

  1. Unbox the CineMotion Posters player and power supply.
  2. Connect the player to your TV / display using an HDMI 2.0 cable.
  3. Connect the player to your network using an Ethernet patch cable (recommended).
  4. Power on the TV / display and switch it to the connected HDMI input.
  5. Apply power to the poster player.
  6. Access the poster player by entering "cinemotion.local" into the web browser of a computer or mobile device, or use its IP address from your router (NOTE: You can show the IP address on the TV/display by enabling Show IP Address in the poster player's Settings menu — it is off by default).
  7. Review and accept the User Agreement and update the system.
  8. Sign up the end-user for a TMDB end-user / personal API Read Access Token / license key and enter it into the TMDB plug-in.
  9. Create poster playlists and curate poster selections to them using a PC to move groups at a time or single posters via the TMDB plugin / search engine.
  10. Choose which playlist(s) you'd like to have displayed.
  11. If a Kaleidescape Strato-series player is on the same network and you'd like to connect it, then go to the Kaleidescape plug-in and follow the prompts. (NOTE: Ensure "Now Playing" is enabled and set the Kaleidescape player Control Protocol ID to "02" within the Kaleidescape player's settings menu.)
